Irrigation Australia (IAL)
Australia's leading organisation representing the entire value chain of the Australian irrigation industry. Information about the irrigation industry and irrigation practices in Australia for irrigators, local government bodies, statutory bodies and tertiary institutions, irrigation consultants and designers, irrigation contractors and installers, manufacturers, importers, distributors and retailers of irrigation equipment and services. IAL is also the Australian representative body of ICID.

International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID)
ICID was established on 24 June, 1950 as a scientific, technical and voluntary non-profit, non-governmental international organisation (NGO) with headquarters in New Delhi, India. The Commission is dedicated to enhancing the worldwide supply of food and fibre for all people by improving water and land management and the productivity of irrigated and drained lands through appropriate management of water, environment and application of irrigation, drainage and flood management techniques.

Smart WaterMark Scheme
The IAL in conjunction with the WSAA, NGIA and the AWA have developed the Smart WaterMark Scheme. The key objectives are to assist in the reduction of per capita use of water consumption – especially in the areas of outdoor water use through the labeling of appropriate water using/saving products and water related services and organisations.

Turf Research Program
Established in 1995 by major stakeholders in the turf industry, government and research to examine water use and drought tolerance in turf, the use of soil amendments to improve water and nutrient management in turf, and to examine turf nutrition and fertiliser efficiency.
